Webcomics

The new webcomic phenonmenon

Over the last couple of years, have noticed a growing trend of new artists who skip trying to get discovered by the great comic magnates (DC, Marvel, etc) and become their own publishers. I.E. they go online.

Some of them are actually pretty good. and some of them just tank when u load the first page. Personally, I like that artists can make use of this new medium to spread their work. Scott Kurtz of PvP is one of those who made good on web comics. from his humble beginnins and now to a deal with Image comics has made Scott one of the success stories of web comics

I'm amazed at how they can churn out strip after strip of stunningly beautiful artwork day after day week after week.

Another plus point is that web comics have no editors :) you have freedom to say/draw what you want. and no ones gonna pull ur strip. I dont have that skill/drive to do a comic of my own. so your just gonna have to put up with my rubbish.

note: shu .. u owe me lunch ( or u can go do your comic )

here's a selection of excellent webstrips
