Goodbye Uncle Kim Wee

A page in our local history is closed.

Former President Wee Kim Wee passed away early this morning.
Although i have few memories of uncle kim wee, i grew up listening to stories told to me by my mom of how uncle kim wee and my grandma used to go dancing. Apparently, the 2 of them really could cut-a-rug.

I remember when i was mebbe 9 or 10 years old, going to his house in Siglap, and being scared shitless by his tiny dog. and remember running in his garden while his security guard watched on.

so, uncle kim wee, thank you for those memories.
